How much does a psychiatric appointment at Mindara cost?
Mindara offers a free initial phone consultation. The comprehensive initial assessment is 45–60 minutes and costs $375. Follow-up appointments are 20–30 minutes and cost $250. Insurance is accepted through Headway, and superbills are available for out-of-network reimbursement.
Does Mindara accept insurance?
Yes. Mindara accepts Aetna, Anthem, Carelon, Cigna and Evernorth, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, Meritain Health, Optum, Oscar Health, Oxford, Quest Behavioral Health, UMR, and UnitedHealthcare UHC | UBH. Insurance billing is managed through Headway. Out-of-network patients receive superbills for reimbursement.
Can I use my HSA or FSA for psychiatric care at Mindara?
Yes. Psychiatric care is an HSA/FSA eligible medical expense. Mindara accepts credit/debit cards at time of service, and these sessions qualify for reimbursement through Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).
What if I don't have insurance that Mindara accepts?
Patients without accepted insurance can pay out of pocket. Mindara provides superbills — itemized receipts with diagnosis and service codes — that you can submit directly to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
